Introducing New Fragrance: Sunkissed Glow by Jennifer Lopez

Scent
Sunkissed Glow is a flowery, fruity and sensual scent with notes of orange blossom, waterlilies and passion flowers. You will also smell the scent of ember, musk and cashmerewood.
Flacon
The flacon has nice curves like the other Glow by Jennifer Lopez editions. Different from earlier versions are the warm colors on the bottle. With the flacon comes a little present in the form of an arm/ankle bracelet.
Ad Campaign
Curious about the ads? Here we have a sneak preview of the campaign. It’s obvious that this is a scent for the sunny spring- and summer days. The photos were taken by world-renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh on the island Islamorada in Florida.

Jennifer Lopez is adding a masculine scent to her portfolio this September of 2008, for the very first time. Following this spring-and-summer Deseo for women, the new scent, Deseo for Men, represents an effort to broaden the appeal of the brand and challenge its creativity......

Deseo for Men was composed by perfumers Jim Krivda and Ellen Molner in collaboration with Lopez, who all already worked together on the previous Deseo.

It has "top notes of lemon, yuzu, red berries and cedar leaf; a heart of tobacco leaves, guaicwood and orris, and a drydown of sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, amber and vanilla.

The collection comprises eaux de toilette in two sizes, 1.7 oz. for $45 and 3.4 oz. for $55; a 3.4-oz. aftershave balm, $40, and a 2.4-oz. deodorant, $16. The bottle is a carbon gray version of the Deseo for Women bottle. "It's intended to represent a crystallized piece of carbon — referencing how diamonds are created," said Bond."

Contrary to the Beckhams who like to pose together as a couple on their perfume ads, Jennifer Lopez has chosen not to advertise the cologne with her husband in keeping with her desire to put some distance between her family and the media.

In the often decried world of celebrity fragrances, Jennifer Lopez has managed to be both a 21st century trend-setter and standard-bearer of good quality mass-marketed perfumes that aim to please without being condescending to the masses. Deseo in terms of semiotics or image is a significant departure from the rest of the Jennifer Lopez franchise as its packaging is unique to the brand, seems to break loose with the amphora-inspired flacons, and the name, for the first time, pays homage to JLo's Hispanic heritage. The bottle was designed by JLo herself together with the Coty Prestige team. Deseo means "desire, wish, dream" or "I desire".

From the name to the shape of the flacon, Deseo positions itself as an aspirational perfume. While it is more usual to see aspirational fragrances for the individual, Deseo is clearly an aspirational perfume designed for a whole community, the Hispanic one, with possible identification for the rest of the potential customers through representations of social mobility, general experience of immigration, or the luster associated with celebrity glamour....

Believe it or not, it's been five years since Jennifer Lopez started her perfume empire with Glow by JLo (she's now got seven fragrance lines).
